The State Center for Registration of Vehicles and Drivers under the Administrative Department of the President reminded that this period was initially set from January 15 to February 15. However, due to the high volume of citizen requests, the deadlines were extended.
As a result, the preferential campaign has been extended for an indefinite period — without a fixed end date. Throughout the entire transition period, old-format driver’s licenses retain their legal validity within the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic. After the completion of this period, such documents will lose their validity and will be subject to mandatory replacement with new-format licenses.
Due to the increased flow of applications, the state center urges citizens to remain calm and avoid creating unnecessary rush. The extension of the simplified procedure allows the replacement process to be completed without haste and inconvenience.
To speed up service, it is recommended to:
prepare a passport and a lifetime old-format driver’s license before visiting service centers or submitting an online application;
check in advance for any administrative fines and pay them if necessary, as unpaid fines may cause delays in service provision.
Citizens whose driver’s licenses have not been digitized and are not displayed in the “Tүндүк” system must personally visit the relevant branches. Others are advised to use the online format without visiting service centers.
